Did you know the quality of your pillow case affects your hair and skin? Well it does!
You want to make the most out of your sleep. Sleep is the only time our body can maintain proper rest and we should be using it to benefit our bodies in a variety of ways. Using a silk pillowcase if very beneficial for your hair and skin and here are a few reasons as to why.

1 Less frizzy hair and damage
Silk is great for keeping our hair smooth and healthy. With a silk pillow case your hair won't get as tangled or damage because there is less friction to cause breakage. For those with curly hair, whose hair doesn't hold as much moisture, silk can assist hair maintain moisture from treatments and natural oils. Some say straight hair can benefit from silk pillows but it isn't as essential.
2 Great for acne
There is many stipulation as to whether or not silk pillows prevent acne and here is some information.
“Silk pillowcases absorb less of the moisture and dirt and thus may be a better choice for people with acne,” Harth says. “This is especially true for people who sleep on their sides or stomach.”
Silk also gives a frictionless surface for your face to rest on while you sleep where other pillows can cause friction and created inflammation and damage sensitive skin

3 Prevents wrinkles
Everyone gets wrinkles caused by the friction in sleep, these are called 'crush wrinkles.' Sleeping on a silk pillowcase won't cause those 'crush wrinkles' as its a smooth surface. Sleeping on a smooth surface may not show benefits right away, but will be beneficial in the long run.
